PROJECTS

Quench & Nourish has partnered with various schools, community-based organizations, faith-based entities, and the Cayuga County Department of Health to implement a variety of projects to promote food security. Below are some examples of our previous projects.

Parkview Junior Academy

Parkview Junior Academy (PJA) in Syracuse, New York, is a kindergarten through 9th grade school operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Quench & Nourish implemented a four-season garden with funding from the Whole Kids Foundation, and assisted with curriculum planning for experiential learning.

Union Springs Academy

The Union Springs Academy in Cayuga County, New York, is a Seventh-day Adventist boarding school for students in 9th through 12 grade. Quench & Nourish partnered with students and teachers to build a large greenhouse and set up hydroponic farming at the Union Springs Academy.

Community Gardening

Quench & Nourish collaborated with the Cayuga County Health Department  through a grant from the New York State Department of Health called Creating Healthy Places to Live, Work & Play (CHP). The grant’s primary focus for its community gardening initiative was to increase access to fresh produce and promote better nutrition for the prevention of obesity and other chronic diseases.

Clean Air Island

Quench & Nourish is honored to partner with Clean Air Island, an amazing NGO based in Mumbai, India. Clean Air Island focuses on improving the quality of life in mega cities like Mumbai through the use of electric vehicles in sustainable waste management projects, greening projects in urban centers, vermiculture for public waste and environmental awareness education in schools.
